GOD CALL SAMUEL

 

 

1 Samuel 3: 1-10.

GOD have to call unto Samuel four times before Samuel can understand that it is GOD.

 Because He didn’t know the different between GOD’s calling and Man’s calling, and that was his first time of hearing GOD’s voice, in a time when GOD voice was so scarce and vision too. (Now Samuel did not yet know the LORD, neither was the word of the LORD yet revealed unto him. 1Sam.3:7)

Samuel ran to Eli who was unable to hear GOD again and he was not with great understanding any longer because it took him as well three times before he can realize that it is GOD that was calling the boy.

It’s strange that time to hear GOD’s voice that period but GOD find a sacred boy that determine to be so, GOD did not care of wait until The boy Samuel understand and know that it is HIM that was calling. Even by the time that Eli realize that it was GOD that has been calling the boy He says “Go, lie down:  and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, LORD;  for thy servant heareth” (1 Sam. 3:9). Because GOD’s calling is uncommon so Eli use the word “if”, maybe GOD never call someone more than three times.

My Prayer is this and I want you to pray it with me that in this perilous period, and perverse generation that when GOD is looking for who to call I will be available for him, and I will hear and understand HIS calling despite multitude of distraction, I will stand out to be A vessel unto honour.
